GOING ON WITH THAT HEADCANON ABOUT ARTSY GRAY ( which is adorable btw ) does Gray tend to draw real people that he knows???? Im a curious bean

        GRAY’S WHOLE APARTMENT is littered with paintings and sketches of memories with the team ( because he likes how the moment is captured in the art, tangibly preserved in order to be shared ). Granted, Gray is NOT one to indulge in every nooks &&. crevices of someone’s aesthetic like a revered masterpiece – he does enjoy doodling people from time to time. 

        He would, however, favor the sight of a landscape // scenery over a stationary figure. Because he is a creative thinker, the dynamic landscape gives him a sense of calmness &&. plenty of things to observe.

        Gray might wield a static Ice-Mage magic,
        but he likes to watch things in MOTION. 

        He is very observant – his observation skill is second to none – which demonstrates plenty of times during battles. Gray watched his enemy like PREY, and he was quick to learn how to get around their magic and defeat them.

        That, and observation in general contributes to his creativity. Gray uses all he observes to make sure he makes his creations as detailed as he can. The more accurate &&. detailed the weapon = the more EFFECTIVE it is. Quality can save him much time, because a well-sculpted out sword won’t break as easily, right?

        Moreover, the very ESSENCE of an Ice-Mage magic is that you can make anything your mind comes up with — the limit is the users imagination.
